Terms and Conditions

Walk times requested are just a request and there can be variation in actual times. Although Franki and Friends Pet Care will strive to provide the dog walks at the proposed time we operate in time lots for example “between 8 am and 10 am” or “between 1 pm and 3 pm”. 

Walks will take place in local fields, parks and woods where suitable for your dog's needs. We aim to walk locally to ensure there is less travel time involved to ensure all dog's welfare is maintained throughout the service.

Solo walk dogs will be assessed and we will choose a walk area according to your dog's needs and behaviours. Group walks will only ever be 2-4 dogs to ensure we are able to monitor your dog’s behaviour and the public surroundings as well as to provide a comfortable travel while in the car. 

Whilst travelling from your home to the walk destination, dogs will be restrained accordingly in a car provided with pet seat belts/ harnesses. If you have a harness already, please provide this to ensure your dog feels comfortable and will not be stressed. 

We require owners to make sure their dog has a collar on prior to service start. If you use a harness please still put a collar on, for safety reasons, it is beneficial to have both. 

If owners are home to hand over and receive their dog from walks, we will provide a live update of the location on WhatsApp or give a time frame prior. This is to ensure you have your dog ready in time. If the walker arrives and the dog is not ready, they will wait 5 minutes before moving on due to time restraints, dogs in the car, and other clients. 

If owners are not home when service is provided, you must ensure the lead, collar, harness, and any other items required are in sight upon entering the premises to ensure the walker is not having to go around the house searching. Please alert us to anyone else who may be present in the home during the pickup and drop-offs to ensure safety.

The Walker accepts no liability for any breach of security or loss of or damage to the Owner’s property if any other person has access to the property during the term of this agreement.

Franki and Friends pet care warrants to keep safe and confidential all keys, access codes, and personal information of the Owner and to return the same to the Owner at the end of the contract period or immediately upon request.

After walks during the winter months/anytime your dog may enter water, we will aim to dry your dog’s paws and any other areas that may need it. However, if the dog is showing signs of stress or aggression, we will acknowledge the behaviour and not try again. 

Payments for walks must be made via bank transfer. Group walking per hour is £15, per 30 minutes is £13. Solo walking per hour is £19, per 30 minutes is £15. An additional £5 charge is added for bank holidays, evenings and weekends. Prices are per dog, for extra dogs in the household - Group walking for 2 dogs per hour becomes £22 and per 30 minutes £19. Solo walks for 2 dogs per hour become £24 and per 30 minutes £20. 

Payments must be paid within 7 days of receiving the invoice or a late service fee will be added, and services will terminate immediately. If payment is still not made, we will take the case to small claims court.

At least 24 hours' notice will be given to cancel a dog walking service. If 24 hours' notice is not given, you will still be required to pay for the service. In the event that the walker cannot make it, a full refund will be given, or the owner can choose to move the money over to the next booking. 

In the event that the dog’s behaviour becomes unmanageable, the walker will give 2 warnings in advance to the owner, after which point the third and final warning will end with the termination of service.

If any dog is involved in any public disturbances, damages, accidents, or runs off, Franki and Friends pet care are released of liability. 

In the event of an emergency, Franki and Friends Pet Care have permission to take my dog to the vets listed in the form. Franki and Friends Pet Care will then contact the owner or emergency contacts if no communication is received. The Walker is released from all liability related to transporting dog(s) to and from any veterinary clinic or kennel, the medical treatment of the dog(s) and the expense thereof.

The Owner shall be liable for all medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to the Walker caused by the dog as well as damage to the Owner’s property.

All dogs must be vaccinated and the proof will need to be shown prior to the start of service, they will also need to be flead and wormed. All pets must be free from all contagious diseases.

In the event that the service is no longer required, a notice period of 7 days is required to maintain the business.

Keys retained by Franki and Friends Pet Care will be securely stored in a locked key
box and will only be marked with a randomly allocated number for the safety and
security of information.

All dogs must have at least a collar on with a tag containing the phone number of the owner. Franki and Friends Pet Care will not be held liable for any damage or injury caused due to loose or faulty collars/ harnesses. Franki and friends will not be liable for any damage caused to or loss of trackers, dog tags, etc.

Franki and friends will not be liable for any vet fees incurred whilst in their care for
new or pre-existing conditions. If in an emergency we cannot make contact with you, we will move on to the first emergency contact and then 2nd contact etc. We
endeavour to make contact with you as soon as possible but if we cannot get
through to any person, we will go ahead and handle the emergency accordingly.

Whilst caring for cats, Franki and Friends will endeavour to make sure all cats are safe and will follow any requests such as bringing them inside during the night, however cats like roaming and events could happen beyond our control. Outdoor cats are allowed to roam freely at the owner's risk and indoor cats will remain indoors unless events/circumstances arise that are beyond anyone's control.

In the event of Franki and Friends Pet Care being unable to attend due to
unforeseen circumstances, a refund will be issued. In the event of the owner
cancelling the service, if 24 hours’ notice is given, a refund will be issued or a
request for credit for another service can be issued. However, if less than 24 hours’
notice is given, no refund or credit will be returned and full payment must still be made.

Franki and Friends Pet Care reserve the right to refuse or cancel the service due to
any inappropriate and uncomfortable behaviour or safety concerns.

The owner accepts full liability for any damage or loss caused by their pet during the service. They also accept full liability for damage or loss to their pet’s property. The owner is financially responsible for loss or damage to property made by the pet.

The owner must inform Franki and Friends Pet Care of any infectious conditions that
their pet has.

The owner gives Franki and Friends Pet Care permission to enter their property to
carry out the booked service at the arranged dates and times.

The owner will have needed to accept these terms and conditions set out on booking
the services.

In an emergency, the nominated vets as set out in the veterinary form will be
contacted. We will attempt to make contact with the owner and emergency contacts, however, we reserve the right to make decisions regarding your pet’s health provided it is in mind of your pet’s best interests and following the advice of the vet.

The owner is responsible for all payments of veterinary fees incurred by Franki and
Friends Pet Care.

Franki and Friends Pet Care are insured for the safe care and transport of your pets
during service.

If consent is given, during the length of service pictures and or videos will be posted
to social media for business purposes. Further pictures and videos will be provided
via text or WhatsApp for the owner during the services.

Communications will be made using calls, texts, or WhatsApp as required. Social

Bookings can be made via text, call, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook or email.

Invoices must be paid within 7 days from the date of receipt. If payments are not paid by this time, services will terminate immediately and late payment fees will be added. For pet sitting, a deposit of 50% will be required to secure the booking. The final payment is required at least 7 days before the service start date. If this payment is not made, the service will not go ahead and will be cancelled.

By using the services of Franki and Friends Pet Care you accept the terms and
conditions as stated in this document. These terms and conditions may change at
any time and will be updated accordingly.
